The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Affiliate Marketing Service (“the Service”) and by participating in the Service you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same:

1. The Service

The Service gives Safaricom Prepay subscribers (“Recommenders”) an opportunity to be awarded with airtime upon recommending the All in One Monthly Bundle and Home Fibre Packages to their friends and family. For the avoidance of doubt, the Recommenders will only be awarded with airtime if their friends and family follow the link on the SMS recommending the bundles and proceed to purchase the bundles.

2. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to all Safaricom Prepay subscribers.

3. How to Use the Service

Customers will dial the USSD code below and recommend a bundle as follows:

Dial *544# and select ‘All in One Monthly Bundles’
Select ‘Earn Extra Airtime’
Enter the phone number of your friend/family you wish to recommend to.
Select the bundle you would like to recommend.
They will receive an message showing the bundle, price and how to buy the bundle or Home package:

Once your family or friend purchases the bundle you recommended within 48 hours, you will be awarded with airtime as indicated in the tables above.

4. Validity

All resources awarded will be valid for ninety (90) days after which any unused resources will expire and will no longer be available for use.

5. Privacy

Definition

“Personal Information” means personal identifiable information as prescribed in the Data Protection Act which includes but is not limited to name, address, phone number, identification number, location data.
Collection of information

We are required by law to collect certain personal information and are legally obligated to deny you the service if such information is not availed.

Apart from the legal obligation mentioned above, we also need to collect your Personal Information for quality service delivery. Please note that although this is voluntary, without such information we may not be able to provide quality service.
Privacy

We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the information we collect from you. Our privacy statement, as updated from time to time, explains how we treat your personal information, who we share your information with and measures taken protect your privacy when you use our Service. This can be found on Safaricom Data Privacy Statement. If unable to access the link or our website, please reach us on any of our customer care channels to receive a copy.
Minors

When registering a minor as a Safaricom subscriber, a person with parental authority shall open and maintain an account in their name for and on behalf of the minor. For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a person with parental authority shall include the birth parents of a minor, legal guardian or other person who can demonstrate legitimate authority over the minor’s affairs.

6. General Terms

Usage of the bonus airtime resource will not accumulate towards the achievement of Stori Ibambe
The Recommender will earn a commission when ‘Party B’ has successfully purchased the recommended bundle. The purchase should be within 48 hours of recommendation for the Recommender to earn commission.
Commission can only be earned once for each unique MSISDN and will apply for buy once and auto renew bundles.
Once Party B has purchased the recommended bundle, no Recommender can earn a commission from any subsequent purchase they make of the same product for a period of 6 months. The Recommender can recommend and earn commission on a product of higher value than what the recipient is using.
A Recommender cannot earn commission if Party B is already using the recommended bundle.
A Recommender can recommend a product to a maximum of 10 different MSISDN’s per day.
If two or more Recommenders recommend the same bundle to a customer, the first Recommender will earn the full commission.

7. Extension of Terms

All other applicable rates for use of the Safaricom PrePay Terms and Conditions remain unchanged.
Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions or to withdraw the Promotion at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via media advertisements (including at Safaricom’s discretion, on the Safaricom website safaricom.co.ke ) and will be effective immediately or as at the date referred in such notifications.
These terms and conditions are supplemental and subject to the standard terms and conditions for the use of the Safaricom PrePay and PostPay terms and conditions, the Safaricom Home Fibre Service and any other Safaricom Promotions that you may be using.
