Safaricom Unveils Kshs.85 Million Promo

"Promo is the largest this year: 60 customers to win Kshs.1 million, one lucky winner to get Kshs.10 million"

October 16, 2012 … Kenya's leading integrated communications service provider Safaricom Limited has set aside a whopping Kshs.85 million as prize money for the largest consumer promotion this year. 

Dubbed Bonyeza Ushinde na Safaricom, the 60 day promotion will climax in a grand draw that will see one lucky winner walk away with an impressive Kshs. 10 million. 

In the landmark promotion, four customers will scoop Kshs. 2 million each in a fortnightly draw in addition to 56 daily winners of Kshs. 1 million each.

Other prizes include winners of Kshs.10,000, Kshs.5000 and Kshs.2,500 via M-PESA each having 5 winners and 1000 daily winners of Kshs. 100 airtime. In all, more than 60,961 customers stand to benefit from this grand promotion. 

Speaking at the launch of the promotion, CEO Bob Collymore noted the central role that customers play in keeping Safaricom at the helm of the industry.

This new promotion is a successor to the hugely acclaimed and precedent setting Masonko na Safaricom which awarded Kshs.1 million daily in 10 weeks. The Bonyeza Ushinde na Safaricom promotion is open to both PrePay and PostPay subscribers and it runs between Tuesday 16TH October 2012 and Friday 14th December 2012.
