Safaricom Opens Its First Platinum Retail Store

Tuesday 10th June 2014…Leading integrated service provider Safaricom has opened the first retail shop that will serve its top spenders on both corporate and individual mobile accounts.

The new Platinum Shop located at Sarit Centre is a state of the art designed outlet, which is more spacious, loaded with the latest tech conveniences and tastefully furnished will allow Safaricom’s VIP customers to get personalized services in an environment that matches their lifestyle.

The shop brings to 41 the total number of Safaricom shops in the country and is the first shop in Kenya that has been fully dedicated to Platinum Customers within the Safaricom’s retail footprint.

“In keeping with our focus of innovating and investing in value addition, we are continuously improving the quality of our interaction to ensure that we give superior customer experience and access to the best services and products” said Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.

Collymore added that “Customer service is a critical component of our business and we aim to deliver unmatched customer experience in an appealing atmosphere.  We are investing heavily in services that target our customers and this will help us widen our offering for devices, data and other services in our retail outlets”

The customers will also get additional benefits such as: free Wi-Fi while at the shop, free SIM replacement, access to smart devices once launched, special offers on select devices  in addition to dedicated customer relations executives to attend to them.
