The message is usually unsolicited with claims that they can offer fake loans at low interest. To attempt to legitimize the message, fraudsters include genuine contacts and mention Safaricom products like M-shwari.
Swindlers send messages containing information on false loans available through platforms like M-SHWARI and KCB M-PESA. The loans may be stated to have very low-interest rates or no interest rates at all. The swindler's aim is to ask you to send money to process the fake loan.
Whenever you receive a fake message, forward it to 333 to block users from defrauding other customers. Do not send money.
