“They Say/I Am” is a play conceived and directed by Mwende Ngao and written by Ann Moraa. Intertwined with monologues of poetry, “They Say I Am,” explores the stereotypes of women with the intention of shattering them and revealing stereotypes as the fallacies they are.

“They Say/I Am” is a powerful play that hopes to encourage the audience to rethink how they view women in their own lives as well as inspire them to right some wrongs in society.
