What brings us together Music It ties us together regardless of race tribe social class gender age and many other divisions that may exist in our society. We aim to celebrate our diversity by use of the universal medium that is music.

Penya Africa hopes to do just that with The Knot: a graduation concert by the artist of their development program Sauti Academy. Come together with your fellow countrymen and experience the future of Kenyan music as a diverse group of young and talented musicians take to the stage with a new sound of music.

Sauti Academy is Penya Africas artist development program that reaches out to singers between 18 25 years old who would like to make music their professional career. In a one year program they aim to share knowledge and build skills that musicians need to kick-start their careers in the music industry.

Entrance: 300/- Advance and 400/- at the gate.

Performers:

Waithera: A soulful crooner who believes in music with a message is musically influenced by the eclectic sounds of Jazz Afro-fusion and Neo Soul. For Waithera music is a safe haven a release from excesses of life. https://twitter.com/Ythera1

Ndila: Singer-songwriter budding Pianist. Her music a fusion of Indie Pop and RnB and heavily influenced by Black American soul music. For Ndila music is life and life is music. https://twitter.com/Ndila_

Shiro: A silky voiced and seasoned pop singer and songwriter. Among her biggest influences is British singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas. She brings out of her magic bag a richness in writing and a soulful delivery. https://twitter.com/WanJeeRow

Cheddaz: Honey comb lyricist rapper and ego guru has honed some useful skills in his craft. Rapping to a beat on African drums this electric performer will bring anyone on his feet with his unique delivery and different sound.
