Safaricom Bonus M-PESA Top Up Promotion
The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Bonus M-PESA Top Up Promotion (“Promotion”) and by participating in the Promotion you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same: -
1. The Promotion
This Promotion seeks to encourage the purchase of airtime through M-PESA.
The Promotion is open to Safaricom PrePay subscribers who top up through M- PESA:
3. Promotional Period
The Promotion will run for ninety (90) days from 00:00 hrs 24th October 2021 to 23:59 hrs 21st January 2022 (“Promotional Period”)
4. How to participate in the Promotion
Eligible subscribers will be awarded 10% bonus airtime when they top up Kshs. 20/- (“Minimum Top Up Value”) or more, using M-PESA Sim Tool Kit.
Eligible subscribers who top up with Kshs. 20/= or more, via the ‘M-PESA App’ and the ‘MySafaricomApp’ will be awarded 15% bonus airtime.
The bonus airtime will be awarded on the first Minimum Top Up Value of the day up to a maximum of Kshs.100/=.
The bonus airtime will be credited to your bonus account and will be used up first on both ONNET and OFFNET calls, SMSs including out of bundle SMS, in priority to your other airtime.

Usage of the Bonus Airtime does not earn you Bonga Points under the Safaricom Bonga Reward Scheme.
The Bonus Airtime will not be used while roaming, purchasing of Data Bundles or international calling.
You will not be able to SAMBAZA the Bonus Airtime.
If a Safaricom number initiates a third party top up to an eligible number, the eligible number is awarded the Bonus airtime. If an eligible number initiates a third-party top-up to a non-eligible number, no Bonus airtime will be awarded.
5. Expiry of Bonus Airtime
The Bonus Airtime received from the M-PESA top ups described in paragraph 3 above will expire after 24 hours from the time of award.
6. Top-Ups that do not qualify
The following top-ups will not entitle you to the bonus airtime irrespective of the amount that you top up:
Scratch cards of any denomination.
Other PIN based virtual top ups such as electronic airtime vouchers, ATM, BAMBA POA PIN based top up and supermarket till top ups.
Non-PIN based top-ups including Sambaza, Ongea 24/7, Paymate and free airtime redeemed as part of your Bonga Points.

“Personal Information” means personal identifiable information as prescribed in the Data Protection Act which includes but is not limited to name, address, phone number, identification number, location data.
We are required by law to collect certain personal information and are legally obligated to deny you the Promotion if such information is not availed. Apart from the legal obligation mentioned above, we also need to collect your Personal Information for quality service delivery. Please note that although this is voluntary, without such information we may not be able to provide quality service.
We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the information we collect from you. Our privacy statement, as updated from time to time, explains how we treat your personal information, who we share your information with, and measures taken protect your privacy when you use our Service. When registering a minor as a Safaricom subscriber, a person with parental authority shall open and maintain an account in their name for and on behalf of the minor. For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a person with parental authority shall include the birth parents of a minor, legal guardian or other person who can demonstrate legitimate authority over the minor’s affairs.
8. Other Terms
Safaricom reserves the right to disqualify subscribers from participating in this Promotion where the subscriber requests for reversal of the MPESA transaction after consuming the bonus airtime.
Eligible subscribers will be awarded the bonus airtime only once a day for their first eligible recharge of the day through any of the options indicated in clause 2 above.
Call, SMS & data rates to all destinations remain as advertised in Safaricom’s current tariff guide.
All other applicable rates for use of the Safaricom services remain unchanged.
Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions or to withdraw the Promotion at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via media advertisements (including at Safaricom’s discretion on the Safaricom website ) and will be effective immediately or as at the date referred in such notifications.
These terms and conditions are supplemental and subject to the standard terms and conditions for the use of the Safaricom PrePay and M-PESA services.
