TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SAFARICOM INACTIVITY SERVICE

The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Inactivity Service (the “Service”) and by participating in the Service you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same:-

1. Eligibility

This Service is open to all Safaricom PrePay subscribers who have been inactive on the Safaricom network i.e. have not accessed the Safaricom network from their mobile phone. 

2.The Service

  1. This Service enables eligible Safaricom subscribers get products and services at a discounted price depending on the last activity day.
  2. Safaricom will identify eligible subscribers according to the eligibility criteria set out in clause 1 above. The subscribers will be identified every week.  

3.Launch of Service

The Service will launch on 17th October 2018 (“Launch of Service”).

4.How to Participate

  1. The eligible subscribers will be identified by Safaricom from the Network and will be notified of this Service.

  2. You will receive an SMS notification informing you of the products available and how to access it.

  3. The product will be based on your last active day on the Safaricom network as indicated below:

    1. FREE Minutes 

    2. FREE MBs

    3. Bonus on Recharge

    4. Discounted calling bundles

    5. Discounted data bundle

    6. Free airtime                           

 5. Validity of the inactivity products

The products will be valid for twenty four (24) hours from the time of award.

 6.Other Terms

  1. If you have more than one Safaricom line, only one line will be eligible for this Service.

  2. The products will be used in priority over other airtime and data bundles you have purchased.

  3. You cannot sambaza the resources from any of the above products.

7. Extension of Terms

  1. Save as modified above, these Terms and Conditions are supplemental to and subject to the published Safaricom Prepay Terms and Conditions and other Services that you may be using.

  2. Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these Terms and Conditions or to withdraw the Service at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via SMS to the eligible subscribers and will be effective immediately or as at the date referred in such notifications.
