SCHOOLS IN HOMABAY RECEIVE SAFARICOM FOUNDATION SUPPORT

Five schools from Homabay County have received various facilities worth KES6.4 million from the Safaricom Foundation.

Mauta Secondary school in Mfangano Island received a fully equipped computer library worth KES2.8 million while Michelle Obama Secondary school also received a furnished classroom.

“The future of any nation lies in the quality of investment it makes in education. This is part of our commitment to help improve the quality of education in this county,” said Joseph Ogutu – Chairman, Safaricom Foundation.

Other schools that benefited from the foundation’s latest community projects are Kaleko and Omboga high schools who now have a new kitchen and ablution block respectively.

The Safaricom Foundation, through the Know and Grow partnership also handed over a fully equipped classroom to Malongo Primary.
