    You will be able to purchase your Internet bundles by dialing *422# on your mobile phone or by accessing the Safaricom BIGbox webpage www.safaricom.com/bigbox on theBIGbox

  • What Mobile number do I use to pay for theBIGbox Internet Bundles?

    Under theBIGbox, there is a sticker with a number labeled MSISDN. This is also found on the side of the packaging of theBIGbox. The MSISDN is your account number which you shall use to purchase Internet bundles.

  • What happens when I exhaust my bundles before the 30 day expiry period?

    You can purchase your Internet bundles by dialing *422# on your mobile phone or by accessing the Safaricom BIGbox webpage www.safaricom.com/bigbox on theBIGbox

  • Can I roll over my bundles?

    You are not able to roll over your Internet bundle. Purchasing a new Internet bundle will not extend the validity of the existing Internet bundle as these are preferential discounted bundles.

  • Can I Sambaza the Internet Bundle for theBIGbox?

    You cannot Sambaza the allocated Internet bundles.

  • Will I get notifications on payments due or when bundles are running out?

    Yes, you will receive a notification on your TV screen and an SMS on the mobile number that you used during registration on purchase of theBIGbox.

  • Can I remove my sim card from my Bigbox?

    theBIGBox SIM card comes preinstalled in theBIGbox and hence cannot be removed.

  • If I need assistance which customer care number can I contact?

    You can call line 400 from the line used during registration, line 100 (PrePaid) or line 200 (PostPay) from their Safaricom lines.

    If you do not have a Safaricom line you can still access Customer Care via the number 0722002100.

  • How do I install an App on theBIGbox?

    1. Download your favourite App from the Google Play Store and save it to a SD card or USB flash. 
    2. Plug in the SD or USB card.  
    3. Follow the prompts until the installation is complete. The App will run after installation. 
    4. To find the App thereafter, go to MENU and choose APPS.

    1. Go to Menu on your BIGBox Menu.  
    2. Select Apps.  
    3. Select SMS and open.  
    4. Scroll through the messages using the directions button.

    2. Select YouTube.  
    3. On the YouTube page, select Return to Mobile YouTube on the blue pane at the top of the page.
  • How do I lock my network to 3G or 4G?

    1. Go to Menu on your BIGBox Menu.  
    2. Select Settings.  
    3. Select Internet Configuration.  
    4. Select Mobile Network.  
    5. On the screen that appears, select Mode Change.  
    6. Set to 3G or 4G. 
    7. After changing the mode, the box will reboot.
