“The greatest midfielder Kenya has ever produced” is a phrase often used by pundits whenever Thigo’s name comes up. This midfield maestro was part of Kenya’s firdt team to grace the Africa Cup of Nations in 1972. He was also part of the Gor Mahia team that made it to the finals of the Africa Cup Winners Cup in 1979. His excellent ball control and exemplary vision made him one of the most effective ball suppliers in the region.

The Safaricom Sakata Ball 2011 best talent was on display as the Kenya U-20 women’s team took on Lesotho in a World Cup qualifier.
