Target Market

Broadly, the target market is corporate clients who wish to:

  • Top up employees PrePay lines with Safaricom airtime as a benefit every month
  • Top up employees PrePay lines with Safaricom airtime as a working tool, especially for field agents and temporary staff, several times in a month
  • Manage their airtime expenditure without the logistical issues associated with physical scratch-cards

The Automated Multiple Top-Up for Corporates enables corporate clients who request the service, to top up their Prepay lines either for employees who receive airtime as a benefit or for employees whose line is maintained by the company as a job tool, e.g. field agents.

Corporate PostPay Hybrid

Corporate clients with large numbers of PrePay employees now have the convenience to share the cost of their monthly mobile phone usage. The client sets limits for their employees and, once usage reaches the set limit, employees stay connected at competitive tariffs by topping up with airtime vouchers.

The Multiple Top-up feature which will allow:

  • Corporates to pay for usage in arrears up to set limits per individual
  • Safaricom to bulk recharge the individual accounts with prepaid airtime amounts defined by the corporate and approved by Credit Control
  • Individuals to top up their accounts with recharge vouchers at any time and especially upon exhaustion of the bulk recharge amount

Target Market

The target customers for corporate hybrid tariff will be all Safaricom PostPay corporate customers who are currently inconvenienced by having to request Safaricom to unbar PostPay accounts that have been auto-barred before the end of the billing cycle.
